District Judge Rick J. Kennon 368th District Court

On October 7, 2013, Governor Rick Perry appointed Rick Kennon as judge of the 368th District Court and was sworn in on November 1, 2013.

Prior to being appointed as Judge, Rick Kennon was a trial attorney for 29 years. He started as a prosecutor in 1985 in Travis County and then worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas. When he first went into private practice, he concentrated on criminal defense work for 8-9 years representing clients charged with both misdemeanors and felonies. Rick was born and raised in the rural town of Cleburne, Texas. He graduated from Baylor University in 1981 with a degree in Education and Texas Tech School of Law in 1984.

Rick resides in Georgetown. He has two (2) grown sons, Alex and Jacob. He is an active member of Gateway Church.
